Rebekah Schultz, PhD
Rebekah Schultz, PhD, is currently a faculty member at Mississippi State University. From 2015-2017 she served as assistant professor of music at Patkai Christian College in Nagaland, India. She has taught a wide range of courses such as group piano, secondary applied piano, ear training, music appreciation, introduction to music research, and music history.
As a performer, Dr. Schultz has played throughout the Southern United States and abroad in Mexico and India. She has also given masterclasses and guest lectures at music schools and universities throughout Northeast India.
Dr. Schultz is an active presenter at state, regional, and national conferences. Her current research interests include Cécile Chaminade, effective practice techniques, group piano, and senior adult piano lessons. She has been invited to present nationally at the Group Piano and Piano Pedagogy Forum and MTNA National Conference. She has also presented at state conferences in Alabama, Missouri, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
Dr. Schultz is a graduate of the University of Mississippi where she obtained her PhD in Music Education. She also holds degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Mississippi State University.
